Harajuku Himegoto House: the anime about a stylish assassin café

Animate announced this Saturday, during the Animate Girls Festival, Harajuku Himegoto House, a new multimedia project that will include a TV anime, music, and more. The story follows an aspiring hitman who travels to a supposed assassin hideout in Harajuku and finds a café run by a group of extravagant, fashion-loving characters.

The company describes the work as a fast-paced comedy. The protagonist, Mizuki Otokozawa, arrives at the place convinced it is a den of criminals, but what he discovers is a business staffed by individuals as stylish as they are peculiar. The premise mixes absurd humor with the street fashion culture of the famous Tokyo neighborhood.

A colorful cast

The announcement also revealed the main voices for the anime. Yūya Hirose plays Mizuki Otokozawa, the apprentice hitman. Tetsuei Sumiya voices Mero Togariishi, a gyaru with overflowing energy. Sōhei Horikane will be Takara Rokurokusō, a sharp-tongued gothic lolita doll.

The rest of the cast is just as odd. Masaru Yoshimura plays Kentarō Jinbayama, a centaur who represents the ideal man. Takuma Nagatsuka plays Yuki Inubo, a boy who wants to cure his melancholy. Nobuhiko Okamoto plays Hitoshi Haritsukekawara, the shop manager, a 50-year-old man with pigtails and a decora aesthetic. Showtaro Morikubo rounds out the cast as Shō Dogenzaka, a flashy guy with a debt of two trillion yen, about 12.6 billion dollars.

Music from day one

Plott is in charge of planning and producing the project. Bandai Namco Music Live, through its Lantis label, provides the music, while Animate collaborates on promotion. Visual artist Aki Akane, also known as Akane Aki, is behind the original character designs.

The project's first group song premieres this Sunday. For now there is no date for the anime and no streaming platforms have been announced.
