Makoto Furukawa doesn't just voice Saitama. He will also sing the ending for the second cour of One Punch Man season 3. The anime's official website confirmed that the actor performs "Wakusei no Katasumi" and wrote the song's lyrics. It's his first theme for an anime where he takes on both tasks.

The announcement came with another confirmation: JAM Project returns for the opening with "Never Done – SUPREME POWER VS ULTIMATE FEAR -". The group had already handled the openings for the two previous seasons.

His own lyrics for a familiar return

Furukawa had already sung an ending for the franchise: "Chizu ga Nakutemo Modoru kara", which closed the second season. Now he's back on the ending, but with a difference that defines the announcement: the lyrics are his.

There's no info yet on the single, the record label, or a release date for the song outside the anime. The published information focuses on the song's role within the second cour, which will premiere in January 2027.

The calendar is set: the first cour started with a compilation on October 5, 2025, and the first episode, number 25 in the series, aired a week later.

Visuals of heroes and monsters

The music announcement came with graphic material. The official website published four hero visuals and two monster visuals as a preview of the second cour, without specifying which characters appear in each one. They are new promotional pieces while the team keeps working on the episodes coming in 2027.

The technical team returning at J.C. Staff

Shinpei Nagai directs at J.C. Staff, Tomohiro Suzuki continues handling the scripts, and Chikashi Kubota returns as character designer, this time alongside Shinjiro Kuroda and Ryōsuke Shirakawa. Makoto Miyazaki is back on music.

There are changes in art and photography: Sakura Murakami takes over as art director and Yuki Hirose as photography director, replacing Yoshio Ōkouchi. Animation remains with J.C. Staff since the second season, while Madhouse handled the first, which aired between October and December 2015.

The second cour is set for January 2027. As for distribution, the anime is available on Hulu in the United States and Disney+ in Canada, and it reaches Latin America and Oceania through Netflix and Crunchyroll.
