Image from the original Anitsu edition. The voice actress idol group i☆Ris will end activities at the end of 2027, the year it celebrates its 15th anniversary. The announcement was published on October 11 on their official website, where the staff explained that members and team had been discussing the future of the group and each member since last year.
The current lineup consists of Saki Yamakita, Yū Serizawa, Himika Akaneya, Yūki Wakai, and Miyu Kubota. Azuki Shibuya left the group on March 31, 2021. As an early farewell, i☆Ris will hold its 14th anniversary concert on November 3 at Yokohama Arena.
i☆Ris was formed in July 2012 from the AniSon Vocal Audition organized by avex and 81 Produce, and debuted in November of that year with the single "Color". In addition to singing, its members have voiced anime characters and performed theme songs for series such as Pretty Rhythm Rainbow Live, Twin Star Exorcists, PriPara and Magical Girl Site. In March 2016 they won the singing award at the 10th Seiyū Awards, and in November of that same year they performed for the first time at Nippon Budōkan.
