Kaoru Shinonome, a freelancer seeking a more stable life, uses her inheritance to purchase a large, old condominium. Her dream of becoming a wealthy landlord seems within reach, but she soon discovers a peculiar reality: the building is completely empty of living tenants. Instead, it is inhabited solely by spirits, turning her new property into a hub of constant supernatural activity.
Faced with this ghostly tenant base and a significant financial investment, Kaoru makes a bold decision. She embraces her role as the proprietor of the so-called Ghost Mansion, choosing not to fight the paranormal but to manage it. Her new mission becomes recruiting more spectral residents and navigating the daily chaos of running a haunted apartment building, where eerie phenomena are just part of the landlord's responsibilities.

Kazuki Taizou, a Japanese tourist with a dark past, arrives at the Voynich Hotel, a rundown resort on a nearly deserted island in the South Pacific. The hotel is owned by former Mexican wrestler Kandre Umeda and run by two mysterious maids, Elena and Beluna, along with a homicidal chef named Amelia. Taizou hopes to lie low, but the island proves stranger than anything he left behind. As he gets drawn into the lives of the hotel's unusual residents and the island's supernatural affairs, he tries to help them, often making his own situation worse. When his past finally catches up with him, his new acquaintances are the only ones he can turn to.
