In 2047, the United States remains in chaos due to the D2s, invasive creatures that despise music, leading to a nationwide ban on all melodies. Humanity's only defense are Musicarts, young women who embody classical compositions, and their Conductors who wield them.
Following a sudden D2 attack, the aloof piano prodigy Takt Asahina is transformed into a Conductor. The same tragedy claims the life of Anna Schneider's younger sister and bonds Takt with his Musicart, Destiny. Seeking to stabilize their pact, Takt, Destiny, and Anna embark on a dangerous journey to the Symphonica Headquarters in New York City.
Their path is fraught with peril as Takt's burning desire to play the piano again risks attracting the very monsters they fight, while Destiny's unwavering sense of duty continually steers them into conflict. The trio must navigate a world overrun by D2s, facing numerous obstacles on their quest to reach the city.
