At Lillian Girls' Academy, a prestigious Catholic school, first-year student Yumi Fukuzawa catches the attention of the school's beloved older student, Sachiko Ogasawara. After a series of events, Sachiko offers Yumi a rosary, a symbol of a special sisterly bond between students. Yumi becomes Sachiko's petite soeur, entering a world of tradition and close relationships among the school's elite.
As Yumi navigates her new role, she must learn the customs and expectations of being a soeur while dealing with the challenges of school life. Alongside her friends and the other students, Yumi discovers the beauty and complexity of the bonds formed at Lillian, where every girl is watched over by the Virgin Mary.
