The fleet's headquarters are stationed aboard the seventh battleship of the Macross class. Along the way, they encounter the alien Barauta, leading to ongoing conflict. The story begins in 2046 within a sector of the combat zone, but it does not focus on space battles or mecha. Instead, it revolves around a sport called "air blading," a high-speed activity similar to aerial skateboarding. The Macross universe serves as a backdrop for this tale of competition and personal struggle.

In the year 2067, a mysterious phenomenon known as the Var Syndrome is spreading through the Brisingr Globular Cluster, driving people into uncontrollable berserk rages. To combat this threat, the tactical music unit Walkure uses the power of their songs to calm those infected, supported by the elite Valkyrie pilots of Delta Flight. However, their mission is complicated by the intervention of the Aerial Knights from the Kingdom of Windermere.
