The Incident

In 1970s Japan, a man named Sakai takes a train to a remote mountain village to visit his estranged father. He carries with him a sense of duty and unresolved family history, hoping to reconnect after years of distance.
Upon arriving, Sakai finds his father living in a dilapidated house, surrounded by the quiet isolation of the countryside. As they spend time together, old tensions and unspoken grievances surface, forcing Sakai to confront the painful reality of their relationship and the weight of the past.
