Digimon Universe: Appli Monsters

Haru Shinkai, a young boy, is led to acquiring an Appli Drive, a device that allows him to materialize Gacchimon, a search app monster. In a world where everyone uses smartphone apps, unknown creatures called Appli Monsters, or Appmon, lurk inside them. These AI lifeforms exist in the boundary between the human world and digital space, enabling people and systems to interface.

However, the "last boss AI" Leviathan takes control of the Appmon with a virus and begins hacking every system, starting to control the human world from the net. Haru must uncover the secrets hidden within the Appli Drive, the mysterious field between the net world and the real world, and the "App Combine" that can merge two Appmons, all while confronting Leviathan's true goal.
