On a southern island, a girl lives in isolation while caring for her grandmother, who has lost her memory. Both have been abused and treated as burdens by those around them, enduring a harsh existence far from the mainland.
One day, a mysterious man arrives from across the sea, bringing with him questions about the world beyond the ocean. As the girl and her grandmother encounter this stranger, their lives begin to shift, leading them toward an unknown fate tied to ancient Japan's greatest mystery.
