Uriko-hime to Amanojaku

A kind old couple living in the countryside discovers a tiny baby girl inside a large melon they find floating in the river. They lovingly raise her as their own daughter, naming her Uriko-hime. She grows into a beautiful, gentle, and hardworking young woman, bringing happiness and warmth to their simple home. Her days are filled with tending the garden and caring for her aging parents.

One day, while the couple is away visiting the market, a mischievous and cunning creature called Amanojaku sneaks into their house. Disguising itself as a relative, it tries to trick Uriko-hime into letting it stay. The Amanojaku causes chaos, breaking things and eating all the food. Uriko-hime must rely on her intelligence and courage to see through the creature's tricks and protect her home from the troublemaker before her parents return.
