Terajimachou Kidan: Ginnagashi

In the Tamanoi district of pre-war Tokyo, ten-year-old Kyoshi spends his days observing the colorful characters that populate his neighborhood. From street vendors to wandering performers, each person carries their own peculiar story. One afternoon, he witnesses a mysterious tramp who, through a series of strange events, transforms himself into a wealthy imposter at a local stand-up bar. This encounter opens Kyoshi's eyes to the fluid nature of identity and the thin line between reality and illusion.

Based on Yuu Takita's autobiographical manga from 1968, this OVA captures the bittersweet nostalgia of a lost era. Through Kyoshi's innocent yet perceptive gaze, the viewer is drawn into a world where everyday life intertwines with the bizarre and the humorous.
