A teenage boy living in present-day Japan begins to notice strange creatures that no one else can see. These beings appear in his everyday surroundings, yet remain invisible to family, friends, and passersby. As time passes, he reflects on his relationship with these invisible entities, questioning why he alone can perceive them and what that says about who he is. He wonders whether this ability is a gift, a burden, or simply a quirk of his perception.
One day, he observes that one of these creatures is behaving differently than before. Its unusual actions spark a deeper curiosity, prompting him to confront the meaning of his unique ability and the place he occupies in the world. Through this encounter, he begins to explore the boundaries between reality and imagination, and what it truly means to belong somewhere.
