The Heike clan rises to power in feudal Japan, their influence growing through military might and political maneuvering. The story follows their ascent, focusing on the key figures who shape their destiny, including the ambitious Taira no Kiyomori.
As the Heike reach the height of their glory, their arrogance and internal strife begin to sow the seeds of their downfall. The rival Genji clan, led by Minamoto no Yoritomo and his half-brother Yoshitsune, rises to challenge their dominance, plunging the land into a brutal civil war that will decide the fate of the nation.
