Nothing You Need to See

A young man rides a fantastical train that represents a mental landscape. He has reversed his own face, shutting himself off from the outside world so he does not see anything. Another man silently stuffs garbage into the young man's face.

This hand-drawn animation, created with pencils, pastels, and oil paints, explores what we look at in everyday life. The drawn pictures were shot with a digital camera and spliced together as video, creating a surreal and introspective journey.
