In 1963, the song "Banana wo Taberu Toki no Uta" by singer Mieko Hirota was featured on the Japanese public broadcaster NHK's program Minna no Uta. This program regularly aired animated music videos to accompany popular songs, and this particular piece was one of its early entries.
