In a near-future world where sea levels have risen and swallowed much of the land, a young boy named Natsuki returns to his childhood home after losing his mother in an accident. There, he discovers an advanced humanoid robot named Atri, who was left behind by his late grandmother. Atri is designed to look and act like a real girl, and she quickly becomes a central part of Natsuki's life.

As Natsuki struggles to adapt to his new reality and the challenges of a world in decline, Atri's presence offers him comfort and a sense of purpose.
