Black Jack: Capital Transfer To Heian

In the "300 Inch Theater" at the Tezuka Osamu World in Kyoto, the Phoenix acts as a storyteller, introducing two animated films. One of them focuses on a story from the "Black Jack" series, set against the backdrop of historic Kyoto.

Black Jack encounters a family torn apart by constant quarrels. The son and his wife are fed up with the seemingly greedy old mother, who keeps asking them for money. Their once peaceful life has been disrupted by her behavior.

Black Jack discovers the truth behind the old woman's actions: years ago, she paid a famous doctor a huge sum to save her dying son's life. She has been working tirelessly ever since to repay that debt, sacrificing her own well-being out of deep love for her child. When the son finally learns the truth, he is moved by his mother's devotion.
