Aniimo is now on mobile: monster catching you can play with one hand

Pawprint Studio launches the iOS and Android version with shared progress and cross-play across all platforms.

Laura Martínez 23 September 2026

Pawprint Studio has launched the mobile version of Aniimo, its open-world monster-catching RPG, on September 23. The game is now available to download on iOS and Android, and it arrives with a key feature: progress is shared across all platforms and multiplayer is cross-play.

With this release, Aniimo expands its service to mobile devices, joining the versions already available on PC through the official website, Steam, and Epic Games Store, as well as on PS5 and Xbox. No matter where you start playing, you can continue your save on another device without losing anything.

The game revolves around the Aniimo, creatures the player can fuse with using the Twine. This mechanic lets you use their abilities, explore the world from their perspective, and discover hidden areas, side stories, and storylines unique to each race. Capturing also moves away from classic combat: you can sneak up from behind or use food to lure them, no fighting required.

The title features over 200 Aniimo, each with materials that reflect their traits: fur, metal, liquid, and other textures. The ecosystem of the Aidel continent changes with the weather and the day-night cycle, and field puzzles add variety to exploration. There are also rarities: Celestial Shine Aniimo and a new obsidian variant.

Social content and season plan

In the multiplayer department, the Egg Battle stands out, a PvPvE mode where several players compete and cooperate at the same time. Additionally, the caravan camp and housing system let you interact with other users in the game.

During the first month after launch, there will be a special event that increases the chance of finding Celestial Shine Aniimo and a launch reward to choose one of these rare specimens.

Pawprint Studio has also detailed its roadmap. Aniimo will run in 84-day seasons, split into two 42-day halves, with new content in each. The next major update will add an aquatic area with five islands and unknown regions, plus new Aniimo and more cosmetic options.

Localization and collaboration in Korea

The studio has confirmed it will keep improving the Korean localization, with full voice acting in the main story and ongoing improvements to translation and voices. As an in-person event in Korea, a collaboration with No Brand Burger will start on October 2.

The development team has assured that it will continue listening to Korean players and is working to deliver an increasingly complete experience on all fronts: creatures, regions, and content.
