Pippy

In a world struggling with overpopulation, Dr. Lehman proposes that humanity should live in the sea. When his idea is ridiculed, he decides to experiment on his own newborn son, transforming him into the first mer-person. Believing the child has died, Dr. Lehman and his wife commit his body to the ocean, only to be convicted of murder and sent to prison.

The boy is found and raised by a mother sea turtle, who names him Pippy. Growing up in the ocean, Pippy is unaware of his human origins. His life changes when he has a terrible encounter with humans, prompting him to venture into the human world. A long journey awaits him as he discovers the truth about his past and his place between two worlds.
