In 2046, a revolutionary shock-absorbing reinforced cardboard is developed, transforming global exports and creating miniature battlefields for a popular hobby called LBX (Little Battler eXperience). Four years later, a boy named Yamano Ban loves playing with LBX but doesn't own a mecha himself. His life changes when a mysterious woman gives him a case containing the model AX-00, telling him he now holds the hopes and despairs of mankind in his hands.
Ban discovers that the AX-00 is a unique LBX with incredible power, connected to his missing father's research. As he battles other players and uncovers a conspiracy, he must protect the robot from those who seek to misuse its destructive potential.
