Chizuko Date is a shy middle school student living in Sakai City, Niigata Prefecture. She is an obsessive fan of Berry Blossom, the magical girl who protects her city from the local evil organization, Fossa Magna. However, the battles have lost all public interest because Fossa Magna's leader, Chroma, is notoriously lazy, weak, and inept. Determined to make her beloved magical girl shine brightly again, Chizuko vows to take matters into her own hands. What begins as a fan's pure desire quickly spirals, leading the seemingly ordinary girl down a strange and unexpectedly wicked path as she interacts with bizarre characters from both sides of the conflict.
