WATER IN THE CUP

A single continuous camera shot follows water as it moves through an endless cycle: from a cup, it rises into the sky, travels beyond Earth's atmosphere into outer space, and then returns to the ground. The film uses this elemental flow to explore the idea of circulation in all things. Just as water takes the shape of its container, a human being is like water placed in a water bottle—the bottle gives it ego and personality. But if the bottle breaks, the water becomes indistinguishable from any other water. This work progresses in one unbroken cut, like the flow of water itself, so that the beginning and the end loop at the same frame, creating a visual meditation on identity, impermanence, and the interconnectedness of all existence.
