To the Moon and Back

To the Moon and Back

Since the day she was born, the moon has circled the Earth 9,125 times. As the years pass, everyone grows older with each orbit, yet the moon never seems to age. The story follows a young protagonist reflecting on her grandmother, her death, and the memories of her childhood. Through quiet moments and everyday scenes, the film explores the passage of time and the bond between generations. The grandmother's presence lingers in the small details of daily life, from the way she prepared meals to the stories she told under the moonlight. The protagonist revisits the house where she grew up, finding echoes of the past in every corner. Each memory brings a mix of warmth and sorrow, as she comes to terms with loss and the inevitability of change. The moon, constant and unchanging, becomes a silent witness to the cycles of life and death. This is a gentle meditation on how we carry those we love with us, even after they are gone, and how the simplest moments can hold the deepest meaning.
