Tenki ni Naare

Tenki ni Naare

Finished

In 1960s Japan, a young woman from a buraku community struggles with the stigma and limited opportunities imposed by her social status. She joins a grassroots adult literacy movement that aims to empower marginalized women through education.

The movement faces resistance from a society still entrenched in discrimination, but the women persist, finding solidarity and strength in learning to read and write. Their efforts gradually challenge the barriers that have kept them from accessing free state education, paving the way for broader social change.
