Tanabata no Oto

Nanase lives in a village where the stars are the most beautiful in Japan. Every night, she gazes at the sky and thinks about the story of Orihime and Hikoboshi, the star-crossed lovers who can only meet once a year on Tanabata. When she moves to a new town, she is shocked to find that the city's night sky is completely devoid of stars, meaning Orihime and Hikoboshi cannot meet.
Determined to help them, Nanase writes in her notebook, "How can I make the Milky Way?" Three girls happen to find her scribbling: Riko, the strong-willed leader; Mio, who loves science; and Airi, who is always into the latest trends. Despite their very different interests and personalities, the four girls embark on a reckless attempt to create the Milky Way in the city sky.
