Water Brain

In a surreal and oppressive world, children are forced to bury themselves in endless piles of homework, constantly monitored by towering, grotesque monsters that loom behind them. The children's brains are uniquely filled with water, which heats up under the pressure of stress and anxiety. When a child becomes overly tense, the water in their brain begins to boil, releasing steam. This steam is not only a source of nourishment for the greedy monsters but also the primary energy that powers the entire city. Thus, the children are trapped in a relentless cycle: they work, they stress, they produce steam, and their lives sustain the very system that imprisons them. Their childhood is spent in tragic misery, serving as the living power plant of their world, with no escape in sight. The short film explores themes of exploitation and the crushing weight of expectation, presenting a haunting visual metaphor for the pressures faced by young students.
