Tanjiro Kamado, a kindhearted boy living in the Taisho Period, supports his family by selling charcoal. After a night away from home, he returns to find his entire family slaughtered by a demon. His younger sister Nezuko is the sole survivor, but she has been transformed into a demon herself. Determined to avenge his family and find a way to turn Nezuko back into a human, Tanjiro sets out to become a demon slayer. He joins the Demon Slayer Corps, a mysterious organization dedicated to hunting down the flesh-eating demons that lurk in the night.
