Kaori is a spirited teenage tomboy who lives next door to the brothers Ko and Yasu. Known for her love of dungarees and her energetic personality, she shares a close bond with the two boys. Their days are filled with the simple routines of school and play, a peaceful life in their Yokohama neighborhood.
One ordinary morning, as Kaori walks to school, the tranquility is shattered by a deafening roar. A US military jet, suffering a catastrophic failure, plummets from the sky and crashes violently near the boys' house. The impact shakes the entire community, leaving destruction and chaos in its wake.
In the aftermath of the disaster, Kaori, Ko, and Yasu must navigate a world turned upside down. The crash, inspired by the real-life 1977 Yokohama F-4 incident, forces them to confront fear, loss, and the fragility of everyday life. As they grapple with the emotional and physical scars left by the accident, their friendship becomes a beacon of resilience in the face of tragedy.
