In a remote mountain village, a young boy named Kenta lives with his grandmother. The village is surrounded by ancient forests, where spirits and demons are said to dwell. Kenta is a curious and brave child, often exploring the woods despite his grandmother's warnings.
One day, Kenta encounters a mysterious creature—a small, mischievous oni. The oni, unlike the fearsome demons of legend, seems playful and lonely. As Kenta befriends the creature, he discovers that the oni is bound to a dark secret tied to the village's past.
