Obake Entotsu no Uta

In 1945, children in the Shitamachi district of Tokyo mistake the distant smoke rising from factory chimneys for ghosts in the sky. They play and imagine stories about these apparitions, finding joy and wonder in their daily lives amidst the hardships of war.

Their innocent games are shattered when American bombers arrive, bringing destruction and chaos to their neighborhood. The children must confront the harsh reality of war, as their world of fantasy and play collides with the violence that threatens to consume everything around them.
