Animated Revue "Spring"

Spring has arrived, and the animals emerge from hibernation. Rabbits play jump rope, a polar bear and a raccoon dog play leapfrog, and a frog and a monkey race on a car and a bicycle. School begins, where the monkey teaches arithmetic while a pig sleeps. The animals exercise in the schoolyard, and birds sing in the trees.

An old goat clears land on a mountain, and an old black cat washes clothes by the river. She finds a peach floating downstream and takes it out, expecting Momotaro, but instead finds an ogre. The carefree polar bear goes fishing, catching a large fish that has swallowed smaller ones, but the fish fall out as he carries them home. The goat plays a drum, the cat plays a shamisen, and a pig and a duck dance. The story culminates in a sumo tournament where the champion must defeat five wrestlers in succession.
