MahoYome: Greeting

MahoYome: Greeting

Chise Hatori, a young woman who has been through much hardship, now lives with the ancient, non-human mage Elias Ainsworth, who has taken her as both his apprentice and his bride. Alongside them is Ruth, a familiar who takes the form of a large, loyal dog. In this short, comedic ONA, the three find themselves in a playful standoff as they debate who should speak first to address the audience. Each character has their own reasons and personality quirks that make the discussion amusing, with Elias being his usual enigmatic self and Ruth showing his protective nature. Chise, ever the mediator, eventually takes the initiative and introduces the anime, breaking the ice with a warm and direct greeting.

This lighthearted moment offers a glimpse into the daily life and dynamics of this unusual family, setting a humorous tone that contrasts with the more serious themes of the main series. It is a brief but charming look at how these characters interact when they are not facing magical threats or personal struggles, highlighting their bonds and the gentle comedy that arises from their differences.
