Lagtrain is a music video anime special that visualizes the haunting song by inabakumori. It follows a solitary individual's journey through a perpetually rainy, dreamlike cityscape dominated by trains and industrial aesthetics.
The narrative unfolds without words, using striking visuals and the emotive soundtrack to convey deep isolation and nostalgia. The protagonist moves through deserted stations and observes the world from train windows, interacting with ephemeral shadows. The animation translates themes of departure and fleeting connections into a visual poem.
With a subdued palette and seamless synchronization of image and music, it creates an immersive, introspective mood. This special is a pure audiovisual experience, capturing the essence of wandering through a half-forgotten dream.
