The Hyuga Episode of Kojiki
Finished古事記 日向篇
The Hyuga Episode of Kojiki adapts a segment from Japan's oldest chronicle, the Kojiki, compiled in 712. The story begins with the creation myth and the emergence of the gods, focusing on the region of Hyuga. Through four animated episodes—"The Cleansing," "Sun Goddess Amaterasu," "Blooming Flowers," and "Umisachi and Yamasachi"—the film brings ancient mythology to life.
The narrative follows the divine origins and early conflicts among the gods, setting the stage for the legendary adventures that shape the world. As the gods interact and struggle, their actions ripple through the land of Hyuga, blending myth with the natural landscape.
