Kawauso

A girl is walking through the fields when a Japanese river otter catches up with her. The two try in vain to communicate while all the junk of humanity rains down around them. The otter seems eager to connect, but the girl cannot understand its gestures, and the objects falling from the sky only add to the confusion.

The Japanese river otter is already extinct, and it is not possible for them to actually interact. They exist in separate spaces, yet their paths cross in a surreal encounter that highlights the barriers between the living and the lost. As the girl continues her stroll, the otter follows, creating a poignant and mysterious moment that questions the nature of reality and memory.
