Kanjigram

A video work inspired by the meaning, form, and origin of kanji characters. Using stop-motion animation, it reinterprets and archives the essence of these written symbols, focusing on the likeness drawn out by the imagination.

The project began with the realization that the true nature of kanji lies in the imagery they evoke. Through meticulous animation, each character is brought to life, exploring the connection between its visual structure and the concept it represents.
