Kani-san Kani-san
Finishedかにさん かにさん
A music video brings to life the playful song "Kani-san Kani-san" by Japanese singer-songwriter Takuzo Kawatani. The visuals accompany the upbeat melody and whimsical lyrics, which tell a simple story about a crab. The animation style is colorful and childlike, matching the lighthearted tone of the music.
The video was featured on NHK's long-running program Minna no Uta, a show that has broadcast animated music videos for children and families since the 1960s. Each segment pairs a song with original animation, often created by different artists. In this case, the crab character moves through a cheerful, cartoonish world, interacting with its surroundings in a way that mirrors the song's rhythm and humor. The short piece captures a moment of everyday joy, with no complex plot or conflict, focusing instead on the simple charm of the crab's antics and the catchy tune.
