In the winter of 1962, Japan witnessed its first exquisitely forged banknote: a 1,000 yen counterfeit so skillfully made that the culprit was never caught. One of these fake bills was placed inside a time capsule alongside a real one at the Osaka-Kansai Expo.
The music video for Miu's song "Itsuwari" draws inspiration from this unsolved case. It explores the theme of deception through the metaphor of the counterfeit bill, asking: if you believe your own lies, can they become the truth?
