A group of children are playing a lively game of kick-the-can in their neighborhood when one of them accidentally kicks the can directly at a passing dog. The startled animal yelps and immediately gives chase, sending the kids running in panic through the streets and alleys of the town. The dog pursues them relentlessly, its barking echoing as the children scramble to escape.

Determined to make things right, they set out to find the dog and apologize for what happened.
