A Place Where There Are Moths

In a Japanese city, a middle-aged woman lives in a drab concrete block apartment, her days marked by the monotony of urban life. The natural world intrudes when a nearby tree sheds leaves that metamorphose into vibrant orange moths. These moths invade her home, gradually pushing her room higher and higher within the building, defying the rigid structure of the apartment complex.

This surreal invasion represents the conflict between the sterile, artificial environment of city living and the relentless, organic forces of nature. As the moths multiply and the room ascends, the woman must confront the boundaries between her controlled existence and the wild, uncontrollable elements that threaten to reclaim her space.
