A black-and-white flicker film by Nobuhiro Aihara explores the interplay between shadows and reality. An arm shadow moves across a landscape of concrete, grass, and flowers, flickering as a finger morphs into abstraction. A real hand appears above the animation, then zooms into drawings of hands and feet.
The film blurs the line between the animate and the inanimate, questioning perception through rapid visual transitions. Shadows take on a life of their own, while the intrusion of a real hand challenges the viewer's understanding of what is real and what is drawn.
