Sakuta Azusagawa, a high school student, one day sees a bunny girl wandering through the library. To his surprise, no one else seems to notice her. The girl is Mai Sakurajima, a third-year student and former child actress who has put her career on hold. She is suffering from a mysterious phenomenon known as Puberty Syndrome, which causes supernatural symptoms that only affect teenagers. As Sakuta tries to help Mai, he discovers that others around him are also afflicted with the elusive syndrome, each facing their own unique and inexplicable problems.
