Chiro no Ki Ookiku Naare

Chiro, a young squirrel, lives in a forest with other woodland creatures. At the end of autumn, he finds a single nut and considers eating it to satisfy his hunger, but instead decides to bury it in the ground. As winter passes and spring arrives, the buried nut begins to sprout and grow into a small plant. Chiro watches the plant grow taller and stronger, eventually becoming a large tree that produces many nuts. The tree now provides food for all the forest creatures, teaching Chiro and his friends about patience, generosity, and the rewards of helping others.
