In a limbo realm reserved for those who died in childhood, a protagonist carries out an endless task: burying the countless necks buried beneath the surface. He feels a faint echo of remorse for having died too young, but he cannot remember how long he has been there, why he is there, or the source of his regret.
His monotonous work continues without end, as he searches for meaning in a place where time and memory have lost all meaning. The film explores the quiet, haunting existence of a soul trapped between life and death, grappling with an incomplete past.
