Siddhartha Gautama, a young prince sheltered from the world's suffering, ventures beyond his palace walls and witnesses the harsh realities of old age, sickness, and death. Deeply moved, he renounces his royal life to seek a path to end human suffering.
After years of ascetic practices and meditation, Siddhartha attains enlightenment and becomes the Buddha. He then travels across India, sharing his teachings and gathering disciples, spreading the foundations of Buddhism.
