Bang Jin Mei Duo

In the snowy highlands of Tibet, the wealthy Qianhu rules over a valley where her slaves endure a life of misery. Among them are four orphaned sisters: Luodan, Xiumo, Namu, and Shema Laqing. One night, Qianhu dreams of a mountain filled with gold and jewels, but the guardian deity demands barley, grapes, and butterflies as tribute. Upon waking, she forces the sisters to search for these impossible treasures in the frozen wilderness.

Knowing they will never return, the three older sisters set out, while Namu pleads to go alone to save their lives. Along the journey, each sister transforms into the required offerings—barley, grapes, and butterflies—to guide Namu back home. But the bitter cold and grief leave Namu frozen in the snow. Moved by their sacrifice, the Gangdise Mountain God appears to intervene.
