This special is an extended music video featuring a chibi-fied version of the enigmatic Mei Misaki from the series Another. Presented through minimalist flash animation, it strips away the horror and suspense of the main story to focus solely on Mei's character in a series of quiet, stylized scenes. The absence of dialogue and conventional plot allows the music and simple visuals to create a distinct, contemplative mood.
Unlike the narrative-driven tension of the original anime, this piece serves as an atmospheric character portrait. It captures Mei's iconic, aloof presence but reimagines it within a calmer, almost melancholic aesthetic. The video functions as a supplemental experience, offering fans a different perspective on the character detached from the curse of Class 3-3 and its tragedies.
The special was produced as exclusive bonus content, highlighting the character's enduring appeal and providing a unique, visual-audio interlude that complements the main series' tone without advancing its story.
