Saku Otonomiya transfers to Tensho School, a prestigious academy in Thrive Central that prioritizes extracurricular activities. His life is already hectic, juggling a part-time job and caring for his hospitalized sister, leaving him little time to consider joining a school club. The annual fall singing contest is approaching, and the school's singing club desperately wants to use the song 'Cloudy Days' by the talented but demanding student composer Sousuke Kagura.
Kagura, however, is reluctant to grant permission, believing only a VOCALOID can meet the song's demanding three-octave vocal range. While struggling with his own creative block, Kagura accidentally hears Otonomiya singing the song perfectly. He immediately invites the transfer student to form a unit for the competition. Now, Otonomiya finds himself caught between Kagura's offer and the singing club's attempts to recruit him, forcing him to make a difficult choice as the contest draws near.
