Yumene Konect Anime Shows Off Staff Comments and a Promise: There Will Be Nipples in Every Episode
The director confirms the adaptation will feature nudity in every episode, something even the original manga didn't do.
The official site for the Yumene Konect anime released cast and staff comments to celebrate the adaptation. Among them, director Yokote Sōta stood out by confirming that every episode will feature nudity. Yes, every single one. Even the original manga didn't dare go that far.
The news also includes a special illustration by the author, Sawada Kō, and messages from the main cast. All with the carefree tone you'd expect from this series.

Sawada Kō didn't hide his surprise at the adaptation. "Seriously?! An anime adaptation of Yumene Konect?!" he wrote. He thanked the readers, his editor, and everyone involved for making it possible.
The author confessed that when he received the proposal, his first reaction wasn't joy but doubt: "Is it really okay to do this?" That same feeling returned when reviewing the scripts and storyboards. Even so, he expressed excitement about the team's work and asked fans to look forward to the series.
The Director Makes It Clear: Nipples in Every Episode
Yokote Sōta was direct in his message. He explained that in these kinds of comments, people usually say things like "this episode is the best" or "watch up to this episode," but that doesn't apply to Yumene Konect. "Every episode is the best. Because nipples appear in all of them," he wrote.
The director acknowledged that the original manga had chapters without nudity, but they decided to include it in every episode of the adaptation. He thanked Sawada Kō and Kodansha for their "deep and generous understanding."
He also shared a curious anecdote: there was a moment when an episode had no nudity, and he developed a "nipple neurosis." The production committee cured him by prescribing "the right medicine": nipples. Simple as that.
As if that wasn't enough, he teased that the nipples will talk in the series. They'll greet viewers with an energetic "Good morning!" "That kind of joke is what makes this series fun," he added. For the director, the show is a mix of cute characters, eroticism, and funny gags. He closed by inviting the "gentlemen" reading the comment to watch the series, complete with a boob emoji.
A Cast That's Having a Blast
Kobayashi Yūsuke, voice of Takamiya Yūhi, summed up his reaction to the project: "Are you serious?!" He highlighted the bold content, the level of detail in the animation, and the cast's total commitment. "Enjoy the bakkori capyui life," he wrote, using the series' peculiar greeting.
Shinohara Yū, who plays Nano, said the series is full of dreams. She called it very fun with an impressive pace. For her, the project represents a big personal challenge. She asked the audience to enjoy "the cute things about cute girls."
Character designer Watanabe Yoshihiro admitted he struggled to adapt to the erotic style after a long time without working on one. The author's and director's corrections helped him refine the character sheets. He also teased that there are special setups for each character.
"It's Not an Erotic Anime," Insists the Scriptwriter
Ichikawa Jūokuemon, in charge of series composition and scripts, made it very clear: "This is the adaptation of a shōnen manga published in Weekly Shōnen Magazine. It is not an erotic anime."
The scriptwriter highlighted the challenge of making a series like this in an era of compliance. He confirmed the series will run for two cours, which makes him wonder if everything will turn out fine. He wrote the scripts with descriptions worthy of an erotic novel and wonders how it will all look on screen. Maybe nothing he wrote will be visible on TV. Even so, he wants the audience to enjoy the series in every way possible.
And he repeated, just to be clear: "This is the adaptation of a shōnen manga."
